Host Properties

Ping Assist Pro is a ping tool for checking network and internet connections.

You will see this form every time you add a new host to the list or edit the properties of a previously added host.

• Name - host name

• IP address or DNS name – host IP address or DNS name

• Execute if Alarm ON – run the specified bat file when the Alarm ON event is triggered

• Execute if Alarm OFF – run the specified bat file when the Alarm OFF event is triggered

• Parameters – command line parameters for the bat file to be run

• Sound notification - play a sound file in case of the specified event

• Tray notification - display a message in the tray in case of the specified event

• E-mail notification - send an email notification in case of the specified event

• LAN notification - send a LAN notification in case of the specified event

• Packet size - packet size

• TTL - time-to-live value

• Timeout - the time to wait for the response

• Ping interval - the interval between pings

• Attempts before Alarm ON - the number of ping attempts before triggering the Alarm ON event

• Attempts before Alarm OFF - the number of ping attempts before triggering the Alarm OFF event

• Alarm log – enable/disable the alarm log

• Ping log – enable/disable the ping log

• Ping statistics – enable/disable ping statistics

• Use as a template - use these options by default when new hosts are added.
